Jurassic World: Rebirth Trailer to Debut This Week, Promising a Fresh Take on the Franchise

This week signals a thrilling time for enthusiasts of the Jurassic franchise, as the much-anticipated The preview for Jurassic World: Rebirth is scheduled to make its debut on Wednesday. Coinciding with Super Bowl week, a time when studios often showcase their upcoming summer blockbusters during the halftime show, this trailer will drop online before the big game. In addition, audiences can expect the premiere of the first Fantastic Four trailer tomorrow, further heightening the anticipation.

Universal has offered a brief glimpse into the upcoming film with a small teaser, featuring the main characters portrayed by Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey, alongside the tail of a mysterious dinosaur species. This scene echoes a memorable moment from The Lost World, where velociraptors concealed themselves in tall grass, revealing only their tails. However, this new tail is significantly longer than that of the typical raptors seen in previous installations.

Gareth Edwards is at the helm of directing the film and is described as a reboot of the beloved Jurassic Park/World series. It appears that this installment will embrace a horror theme, featuring a more limited cast (none of whom are returning from previous films) and primarily taking place in a single setting. This location serves as the final sanctuary for the dwindling population of living dinosaurs.

The storyline seems to deviate from the conclusion presented in Jurassic World Dominion in 2022, but if it successfully rejuvenates the franchise with a novel perspective, it will undoubtedly be welcomed by fans. Jurassic World: Rebirth is scheduled for release on July 2.
