As Corenswet auditioned for the iconic role during the Twisters shoot, the cast celebrated with a joyful video. This clip showcases Brandon Perea, Anthony Ramos, Daisy Edgar Jones, Katy M. O'Brian, Glenn Powell, and others enthusiastically cheering, with Perea exclaiming, "Our Superman!"

In Twisters, Corenswet plays Scott, the ambitious partner to Javi, portrayed by Anthony Ramos, embodying the character of a ruthless antagonist. He is now set to portray Clark Kent in James Gunn's Superman, which will mark the beginning of a new era for the DC Universe, revitalizing its film landscape.

The official announcement of his casting was made in June 2023, along with Rachel Brosnahan's upcoming role as Lois Lane. Furthermore, Skyler Gisondo is set to portray Jimmy Olsen, while Nicholas Hoult will embody Lex Luthor, and Isabela Merced will bring Hawkgirl to life.

Chung further reminisced about Corenswet's return to the set after auditions in LA, admiring how he brought a part of Superman back with him. While he wasn't strictly method-acting, it was evident that he had embraced the essence of the character.
