It’s Free - More Privacy More Connections Everywhere!

Over recent years, data security has become a topmost concern for most people, and therefore protecting one’s data is very important. BetterNet can give you a more secure connection when using open, public Wi-Fi network or access to a website that has been censored, blocked, or locked. BetterNet gives you access to the Internet through its own servers, so online snoopers can’t access your data. The application masks your IP address making it look like you are connecting from a different IP address. Most free VPNs give you limited bandwidth, but for BetterNet you get unlimited bandwidth, you can use it as your only VPN.

Getting Started with BetterNet

Unlike many other VPNs, there is no need to sign up for the service before using BetterNet, instead, all you need to do is download the app, install it, and use it. The good thing with this app is that there are no settings you need to configure, which makes things even simpler.

It’s Light, Fast, and Simple

What I love about this application is that it has features that are very easy to understand, and the settings are straightforward. This makes BetterNet one of the easiest to use applications, especially for the first-timers. When you launch the app, you see that it has a slick interface. The help and setup instructions are simple to follow.

BetterNet’s Server Locations

The application has a limited server network. The servers are located in Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Japan, France, Australia, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands. When you choose the free access, you do not get to choose the server which you will be connected. When you go for the premium membership, you will have more choices, but still, the network is still severely limited.

Data Collection Issues

This is a downturn for BetterNet users. BetterNet collects anonymous, aggregated data about the websites its users visit and the applications they use. While it may seem like an issue, the data BetterNet collects can’t be attributed to you as a specific user, it still something that should raise concerns.

Final Thoughts

You want a VPN that will protect your privacy data, but you also want a VPN that is more powerful and has tight security and tools that might unlock most services. BetterNet given its many advantages, it’s a VPN you can trust.
